A sensory immersion where your image and music meet through emotions.
Reflets is an immersive and interactive installation designed to offer users a moment of introspection through the orchestral music of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. Inspired by the design of vintage photo booths, the installation takes the form of a mirrored cube that intrigues at first glance. Inside, a single participant is immersed in a cinematic sequence where their real-time image blends with those of actors expressing different emotions evoked by music from the OSM’s repertoire. Reflets is a multisensory experience where music interacts with each user’s personal identity.

Michel D.T. Lam is a writer, director and producer for documentary, television and new media. Among his notable projects, Harmonielehre, an innovative collaboration between the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and the Society for Arts and Technology, Innere Musik, a virtual reality experience with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, (Numix 2020, Best Immersive Experience) as well as the immersive film, Partita for 8 Voices, a musical and graphic odyssey (Best Immersive Experience at Macon International Festival, Best of Earth Awards – Art and Experiment).
