DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
We have been maturing Okawari for over two years of intense discussions about the vision, the interactive design and how to engage users in an experience that we hope will have an impact on reality.

We think art should be committed to the reconstruction of a world in which we can/want to live: sustainable, equitable, respectful of all living beings.

We ask ourselves the question of the ratio between the positive externalities (setting a positive example, raising awareness, creating alternative imaginaries, …) and negative externalities (use of non-renewable resources, pollution, waste, …) associated with the design, production and distribution of a project.

If the negative externalities we anticipate seem greater than the positive externalities, then it is better not to do it, to stay in bed, or to do something else! It is as simple (and complicated) as that.
