Hubblo partners with RIDM and the SAT to present two works from the National Film Board of Canada: This Is Not a Ceremony, an internationally acclaimed short film in its first fulldome version, along with Texada.
This is not a Ceremony brilliantly tackles dark episodes in the lives of Canada’s aboriginal peoples in a poignant narrative. Internationally acclaimed and presented for the first time in Fulldome, the screening of this film is an event at SAT.
« … completely intense and unforgettable ».
Barry Hertz, The Globe and Mail
« … stunning… where stories come to life and dance before our eyes. Immersed in the narrative, I felt close enough to feel the person’s sorrow, yet so far away…».
Kelly Holmes, Native Max Magazine
The film is accompanied by the short Texada, a poetic look at ancient geological upheavals alongside a contemporary mining community.
The two films will be presented consecutively, with two screenings per broadcast day in November, and a few additional dates in December, as part of the RIDM festival.
