Partita for 8 Voices is an immersive visual and sound experience that plunges the spectator at the heart of the musical piece of the same name composed by Pulitzer Prize winner Caroline Shaw. Using cutting-edge immersion technologies, this unique cinematic experience places the audience at the center of the eight singers of the group Roomful of Teeth. The visual universe is inspired by the Wall Drawings series by Sol Lewitt.

Miche DT Lam
Director
Michel DT Lam studied film at the Université du Québec à Montréal and at INIS – the National Institute of Image and Sound. His first two short films, Plus ou moins trente and Sur le quai de la gare, won numerous awards. He then directed the critically acclaimed documentary ... et la musique, produced by the National Film Board of Canada. As a screenwriter, director, and producer, he divides his time between international documentary series and the creation of original new media projects. In 2014, he conceived and directed the immersive film Harmonielehre, featuring Kent Nagano and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra—an innovative symphonic experience guided by John Adams’ masterpiece. In 2019, he conceptualized and directed the virtual reality experience Innere Musik, an exploration of the majestic three-level Grand Orgue Pierre-Béique at the heart of Montreal’s Maison Symphonique. He is currently collaborating once again with the OSM on an immersive installation titled Reflets, which is currently in production.
